Best Among Equals: BOA’s Bold Case for Osun 2026

As the APC searches for its strongest contender, Benedict Olugboyega Alabi emerges as the frontrunner with unmatched experience and vision.

As the political atmosphere in Osun State intensifies ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election, the focus within the All Progressives Congress (APC) has shifted to the selection of a candidate capable of unseating the incumbent governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke. Among the array of qualified aspirants vying for the party’s ticket, one name continues to stand out: Benedict Olugboyega Alabi (BOA).

Widely regarded as the “best among the rest,” Alabi’s growing popularity is rooted in his unique blend of public service experience, private sector success, and a strong record of leadership.

Benedict Alabi, fondly known as BOA, previously served as the Deputy Governor of Osun State under the immediate past administration. His tenure in office gave him an in-depth understanding of the state’s needs and exposed him to the complexities of governance, making him well-prepared to steer Osun toward progress and development.

But Alabi’s leadership credentials extend far beyond politics. At just 18 years old, he was already demonstrating his potential as Vice President of the Ibadan Polytechnic chapter of Jaycees International and as Financial Secretary of the Federation of Oyo State Students.

He later founded and led Eliezer Group, a facility management company that grew from humble beginnings to become a continental leader with branches in Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, and Uganda. His entrepreneurial journey and achievements earned him the prestigious title of being the first African to receive the Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) certification from the International Facility Management Association in Houston, USA.

In addition to his business acumen, Alabi is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, the Institute of Environmental and Public Health Management of Nigeria, the Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria, and the Government Institute of Research and Leadership Technology, where he specializes in strategic management.

With his blend of public and private sector experience, Benedict Alabi is not just a governorship aspirant; he is a symbol of purpose-driven leadership. His candidacy represents a renaissance of integrity, innovation, and people-centered governance that many believe Osun State urgently needs.

As APC delegates and stakeholders weigh their choices, the name Benedict Olugboyega Alabi continues to resonate as the aspirant most capable of delivering meaningful change and the one best positioned to lead Osun into a new era of progress.
