Ukraine said on Sunday it had faced the most extensive drone and missile assault since the start of the war over three years ago, with nearly 500 projectiles launched by Russian forces.

The unprecedented barrage comes amid a sharp escalation in Russian attacks as diplomatic efforts remain stalled.
In a separate development, both Russia and Ukraine confirmed the beginning of a prisoner exchange.
