CONYSSA Holds Southwest Youths Summit Thursday

The Coalition of Nigeria Youths on Security and Safety Affairs (CONYSSA), in a landmark partnership with several federal agencies, will this Thursday convene a Southwest Youth Summit aimed at rallying young Nigerians across the region to stand united against the rising wave of social vices threatening national development.



With the theme: “Uniting Southwest Youths in the Fight Against Cultism, Internet Fraud, Money Laundering, Drug Abuse, Child Trafficking, and Economic Sabotage,” the summit will feature high-level engagements, security education, and a multi-agency collaboration effort to rescue the youth from destructive influences.


The event is being held in collaboration with:


Federal Ministry of Youth Development


Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)


National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)


Nigeria Police Force (NPF)


Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)


Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)


National Orientation Agency (NOA)


Office of the Chief of Defence Staff



According to Ambassador Ade Mario, Director General of CONYSSA, the summit is more than a one-day event, it is the birth of a movement.


 “We are building a Southwest youth bloc that will stand against every form of criminality and social decay. From cultism to cybercrime, from drug abuse to economic sabotage, we will raise a firewall of knowledge, unity, and discipline,” he said.




The summit will gather participants from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti States, and will include:


Youth dialogue with security experts


Testimonies from survivors and reformed offenders


Capacity-building workshops


Presentation of a communique to national authorities



Ambassador Mario further called on parents, religious bodies, traditional leaders, and civil society to support the initiative, adding that “rescuing our future must be a collective effort.”

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

  The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident.
