JUST IN: Osun Central Senator Olubiyi Oluwole Fadeyi Quits PDP

Osogbo, Nigeria

The senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Olubiyi

Oluwole Fadeyi, has officially resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing internal discord and lingering legal battles.

In a resignation letter made public on Friday,

Senator Fadeyi expressed deep concerns over what he described as irreconcilable differences, irreparable division, and persistent court cases within the party, which have made it impossible for him to continue as a member.

This development comes just hours after Oriontimes reported that Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi of Osun East had also dumped the PDP, pointing to what many now see as an exodus from the embattled party in Osun State.

Senator Fadeyi's exit further compounds the party’s troubles, raising questions about the future of the PDP in Osun State, especially as preparations intensify ahead of the next general elections.
