Next Level Progressive Movement Lauds Osun APC Leadership, Calls for Unity Ahead of 2026 Elections

 

OSOGBO — The Next Level Progressive Movement (NLPM) has commended the leadership of the Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC), local government chairmen, and party elders for maintaining cohesion and allowing aspirants to freely exercise their franchise ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election.

At a caucus meeting held today at the movement’s National Secretariat in Gbodofon, Osogbo, the Board of Trustees, stakeholders, and zonal and local government coordinators praised the state party executive, led by Alhaji Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, for navigating the party through challenging times while fostering inclusivity.

The meeting, chaired by the Director General of NLPM, Hon. Chief Owoeye Samuel Abiodun (OSA),

noted that the party’s leadership, including Governor Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, and elders such as Baba Bisi Akande and the Igbimo Agba, have demonstrated remarkable political acumen in keeping the party united.

“The leadership has ensured that all aspirants are able to exercise their rights without intimidation. This is a model of democratic practice that sets the stage for a successful election,” Hon. Owoeye Samuel Abiodun said.

NLPM also applauded the local government chairmen, under ALGON Chairman Hon. Abiodun Samuel Idowu, and councilors for their resilience amid provocations from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which the group described as “rudderless” and losing members to the APC due to lack of vision and competence.

Addressing the issue of withheld local government allocations, the movement urged council leaders to adhere to the rule of law while using the resources effectively once released to achieve developmental strides for their communities.

Looking ahead, NLPM’s national leadership reaffirmed its commitment to reclaiming Osun State for the APC in 2026 and described the 2027 presidential election as a “walkover” for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, provided that party members remain united.

The movement concluded by appealing to all APC leaders and members in the state to form a common front to secure political victories and sustain the party’s momentum.
