Abuja — Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, Hon. Wole Oke, has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the occasion of his 51st birthday, describing him as “a royal symbol of unity, culture, and global diplomacy.”
In a goodwill message issued on Friday, Oke, who represents Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, commended the monarch for his leadership
in promoting peace, cultural identity, and national cohesion among the Yoruba people and across Nigeria.
“Kabiyesi has distinguished himself as a bridge between the ancient and the modern, a monarch whose influence extends beyond the palace walls to the global stage,” Oke said.
“At 51, the Ooni remains a shining example of purposeful royalty and a true advocate for cultural diplomacy and youth inclusion.”
The lawmaker lauded the Ooni’s sustained efforts in fostering inter-ethnic understanding, empowering young Nigerians, and projecting the Yoruba heritage as a vital component of Nigeria’s soft power on the world stage.
He prayed for continued divine wisdom and strength for the Ooni, noting that his reign has brought renewed dignity to the House of Odùduwà and hope to the larger African family.
“May Olódùmarè continue to bless His Imperial Majesty with long life, wisdom, and peace, as he continues to serve humanity and elevate our shared heritage,” Oke added.
