Bombing Outside Court Kills 12

 

A powerful explosion ripped through a court complex in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, leaving at least 12 people dead and dozens injured. The blast, which occurred on Tuesday morning, has been described as one of the deadliest attacks in the city this year.


Authorities said the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber who detonated explosives near a courtroom filled with lawyers and civilians. Emergency services rushed to the scene, where the injured were transported to nearby hospitals under tight security.



Pakistan’s Interior Ministry has accused “India-backed proxies” of orchestrating the attack, though India has not responded to the allegation. The incident follows a similar explosion in India’s capital the previous day, heightening tensions between the two neighbors.


Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack, vowing to bring those responsible to justice. He called for increased security measures across the country as investigators work to uncover the network behind the bombing.
