Chaos at Wadata Plaza as PDP Factions Trade Punches

Abuja — Tuesday

Drama unfolded at the Wadata Plaza National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as supporters loyal to rival factions engaged in a physical confrontation that disrupted activities at the headquarters.

The clash reportedly started after both groups arrived simultaneously for separate meetings, each asserting legitimacy over the party’s leadership structure. Heated verbal exchanges quickly escalated into shoving, shouting, and eventually punches being thrown as tensions boiled over.

Security personnel stationed at the secretariat had to intervene to separate the factions and restore some level of order. No official statement has yet been released by the party on the incident.

The violent altercation underscores the deepening internal crisis rocking the PDP, with both camps refusing to back down in their struggle for control of the party’s direction.
