Demi-Ajayi has delivered judgment in Suit No FHC/OS/CS/147/2025 filed by the reinstated Chairmen and Councilors elected on 15th October, 2022 in Osun State.  The suit was commenced in September, 2025 and following a number of Appeals arising from the interlocutory rulings, the Court of Appeal in Abuja sat on the matter on 3rd June, 2026 and adjourned the hearing of the appeals to 28th September, 2026. Notwithstanding the fact that the Court of Appeal has become seised of the matter and a motion for staying further proceedings by the lower court in the matter is pending at the Court of Appeal, the Judge went ahead and proceeded to give judgment today 15th June, 2026 where the suit was dismissed.  The Judge ruled that the tenure of office of the reinstated elected officers of the local government councils ended in October, 2025.  The...

Gombe-Born Aerospace Engineer Unveils Nigeria’s First Privately Built Rocket

Nigeria has recorded a major breakthrough in its emerging space technology sector as Anas Isah, a Gombe-born aerospace engineer, successfully developed STRATON-X, the country’s first privately built indigenous rocket.


The innovation marks a significant milestone for Nigeria’s private aerospace community, demonstrating how homegrown expertise can push national technological boundaries despite limited resources and infrastructure.


STRATON-X, designed and built by Isah from the ground up, showcases advanced engineering capabilities in propulsion, aerodynamics, and lightweight structural design. According to the young engineer, the project was driven by a desire to prove that Nigerians can compete globally in high-end technology fields, including rocketry and space exploration.


Isah emphasized that the project aims to inspire young engineers across the country, especially in Northern Nigeria, where access to advanced technical facilities is often limited. He described STRATON-X as “a symbol of what determination, research, and innovation can achieve.”



The achievement has already drawn attention from tech communities and science advocates who say the development could open doors for private-sector participation in Nigeria’s aerospace industry.


As Nigeria continues to push for technological advancement and youth-driven innovation, STRATON-X stands as a bold reminder that the future of space engineering in the country may well come from independent creators like Anas Isah.
