BOUESTI VC Vows to Position Varsity Among Nigeria’s Top 10

The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI), Professor Babatunde Omojola, has unveiled an ambitious vision to place the institution among the top 10 universities in Nigeria and within the top 1,000 globally.



Speaking shortly after assuming office, Prof. Omojola emphasized his commitment to academic excellence, innovative research, and institutional reforms aimed at strengthening BOUESTI’s competitiveness on both national and international fronts.

According to him, the university will prioritize quality teaching, cutting-edge research, staff development, and strategic partnerships with local and global institutions. He noted that improving infrastructure, embracing digital learning, and fostering a culture of innovation will be central to achieving the university’s ranking aspirations.

Prof. Omojola also stressed the importance of discipline, accountability, and inclusiveness in university governance, assuring students and staff of a leadership style anchored on transparency and collective progress.

“We are determined to build a university that can compete favorably with the best, not only in Nigeria but across the globe,” the Vice-Chancellor said.
