Makinde, Obasanjo, Ooni, Dangote, Alakija Set For Adeleke’s Chieftaincy Installation

 

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, business magnates Aliko Dangote and Folorunso Alakija, among others, are expected to grace the traditional chieftaincy installation of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as the Asiwaju of Ede land tomorrow, Monday,  13th of May, 2024.


Speaking at a press conference at the Timi of Ede’s palace on Sunday, Senator Olalere Oy


ewumi, chairman of the central planning committee for the installation, revealed that Ademola Adeleke’s elder brother, Isiaka, held the position until his death in 2017.


Oyewumi stated: “The conferment of the title of Asiwaju of Ede on Governor Ademola Adeleke by the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, is in recognition of his significant contributions to the growth and development of Ede land and Osun State as a whole. It also acknowledges the immense contributions of the entire Adeleke dynasty to the progress of Ede, Osun State, and Nigeria.”


Other dignitaries includes the Ooni of Ife, the CEO of Bovas Petroleum, Victoria Samson, and business conglomerate Deji Adeleke.
