BREAKING: From Campaign Donor to ‘Kill Me or Pay Me’: Man Reviews APC Investment Balance Sheet

In what appears to be Nigeria’s most dramatic “return on investment” complaint yet, a man on Thursday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja with a message as blunt as it was unsettling: reward me or kill me. The protest, captured in a now-viral video, shows the visibly distressed man holding a placard and demanding recognition for what he described as his personal sacrifices during the party’s 2023 campaign. According to him, loyalty was not just emotional, it was financial, physical, and, ultimately, total. In a country where political support often comes with expectations, some spoken, many implied the man’s outcry reads like a tragic audit of misplaced trust. His claim that he sold his house to fund campaign efforts has not been independently verified, but the symbolism is hard to ignore: a citizen liquidating stability in exchange for promised political dividends. Observers at the scene watched as the protester oscillated between anger and ...

Agritech-Nigeria-Osun 2024: More Than 70Foreign Ambassadors, Global Investors To Storm Osun For Fresh Edition

In what looks like good news for the people of Nigeria and the government of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, the organiser of Agritech Nigeria has decided to bring the second edition of the International Agriculture Technology Exhibition and Investment Summit to Osogbo, the Osun state capital.

Agritech Nigeria is an international platform that combines investment and economic connection with exhibition to bring both local and foreign investors together and make available sustainable technology that can be used to drive agriculture development.

Agritech Nigeria trade mark is owned by Fesco Agalu Nigeria Limited, a company registered under Nigeria law in 1993.

The first edition tagged Agritech Nigeria Osun 2019, was held in Osun State from 26-28 March 2019, and it attracted no fewer than 23 accredited foreign ambassadors and high commissioners in Nigeria with local and foreign manufacturers and investors, United Nations agencies, Federal and state government agencies, ministries and departments in attendance, while over N18.5 billion business volumes exchanged hands and over 36,000 participants recorded across the world.

This newspaper learnt that in the build-up to the Agritech Nigeria Osun 2019, the organisers went to different countries in Europe, Asia and Africa for sensitisation of investors and participants.

Executive Director of Agritech Nigeria, Majeed Yahaya, said the event coming up in Osun State will be tagged Agritech Nigeria Osun 2024, adding that the reasons Osun State is chosen to host the world event could not be isolated from the fact that those investors and businessmen and women who attended the 2019 edition demanded that they wanted to complete their business connections which were halted as a result of COVID-19.

They also complained of the unfavourable business environment in the state before the assumption into office of Governor Adeleke. They think that the Government of Ademola Adeleke is open to investors and eager to turn the fortune of Osun State around.

“I must confess, the present government in Osun State has demonstrated that they welcome investors and are ready to protect their investments in the state,” said Yahaya.

He also disclosed that the Agritech Nigeria Team is still consulting on the choice of the state to be the host, but presently, the board of Agritech Nigeria has chosen Osun State which, however, is subject to the acceptance by the state government.

He further said the management of Agritech Nigeria will soon send a letter to the state government.

Agritech Nigeria is an international event that attracts foreign businessmen and women, particularly the accredited foreign ambassadors and high commissio

ners to Nigeria who are also going to be leading their business people to the event.

“This is a big event, therefore, the host state’s acceptance to host the event is very important considering the high level of dignitaries that will attend the three-day event starting from 26-28 November 2024,” the Executive Director said.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
