In what appears to be Nigeria’s most dramatic “return on investment” complaint yet, a man on Thursday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja with a message as blunt as it was unsettling: reward me or kill me. The protest, captured in a now-viral video, shows the visibly distressed man holding a placard and demanding recognition for what he described as his personal sacrifices during the party’s 2023 campaign. According to him, loyalty was not just emotional, it was financial, physical, and, ultimately, total. In a country where political support often comes with expectations, some spoken, many implied the man’s outcry reads like a tragic audit of misplaced trust. His claim that he sold his house to fund campaign efforts has not been independently verified, but the symbolism is hard to ignore: a citizen liquidating stability in exchange for promised political dividends. Observers at the scene watched as the protester oscillated between anger and ...
DAMILOLA Omosebi popularly known as NINODI will finally release his first Single titled; HOLY SPIRIT on March 28, 2025.
NINODI who has many unreleased songs to his credit decided to seek the Holy Spirit as his first companion before others will follow.
He told SOJ WORLDWIDE how he started his music in the heydays while following his father to the choir practice at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Lagos.
NINODI who told our Correspondent that his style of music (genre) is gospel and inspirational songs hailed from Ilutitun-Osoro in Ondo State.
"Oluwadamilola, known artistically as Ninodi is a Nigerian-born gospel and more; singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Lagos but originally from Ikale in Ondo state. Nino’s love and passion for music began at a very tender age as his father who was a choir master in a C.A.C church took him to church every Saturday evenings for choir rehearsals.
Though sometimes bored because his mind was mostly on the football pitch, he later fell in love with music.
Nino grew up listening to both gospel and secular artists. Songs of artists such as Yinka Ayefele, Lanre Teriba (Atorise), Beautiful Nubia, Commander Ebenezer Obey rocked his father’s radio day and night that he could remember every lyric of these songs and sing them sometimes while asleep.
Music Style
Nino’s music blends traditional gospel with contemporary styles, creating a unique sound that resonates with listeners worldwide. His soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics aim to inspire, uplift and bring people closer to their faith.
My journey to ‘Holy Spirit’
My debut gospel single, “Holy Spirit”, is a reflection of my spiritual journey and personal growth. The song was inspired by my experiences with faith, love and perseverance. I wrote “Holy Spirit” during a challenging time in my life, and it became my beacon of hope and strength.
Musical Influences
My music is inspired by lots of gospel and contemporary artists. I grew up loving innocent Idibia 2face now 2baba and lots of Afrobeat artists. So, I started as a secular artist before I eventually found the light, I even released some secular songs including a cover for a popular song “woju”.
Now I feel fulfilled creating music that inspires, uplifts, and connects with people on a deeper level. Right now, my style of music is influenced by Timi Dakolo… I want to be able to sing about gospel, love and life. In fact, I want to sing about all of the things that God stands for.
