Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, the lawmaker representing Ijesa North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has sounded the political trumpet, and it's not subtle. In a recent post on his official Facebook handle, Oke likened the All Progressives Congress (APC) to a divine evacuation vessel: "Oko Noah," primed for takeoff ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial elections in Osun State.

“August 8, 2026, is almost here. The APC vessel Oko Noah is about to take off,” he declared. “You better enter now before the doors are closed.”

Like a modern-day Noah calling voters aboard, Oke painted the picture of a political ark-sanctified, strategic, and storm-ready. The message? Get in line with the APC or risk drowning in irrelevance.

And while some may scoff, Oke claims that fear is already brewing in the opposition camp. "I sympathise with some of my brothers and friends in the opposing camp. They’re scared of what will happen in 2026 and 2027," he wrote, his words landing somewhere between premonition and provocation.

But it’s not all brimstone and ballots. The lawmaker, known for his consistent grassroots engagement, also took a moment to highlight his evolving relationship with the digital generation. "My newest title now is ‘Baba awon Data Boys,’ and honestly, I’m loving it," he said, nodding to his growing rapport with tech-savvy youth mobilisers.

Beyond metaphors and monikers, Oke reaffirmed his commitment to political education and civic enlightenment. He emphasized that party loyalists should not shy away from political evangelism, urging them to wear their APC colours with pride and push the party’s message boldly into every street, screen, and marketplace.

In Osun’s turbulent political waters, Oke’s APC ark is boarding. Whether voters see it as a vessel of deliverance or a cruise ship of recycled promises 2026 will tell.
