OOPA Seeks Stronger Collaboration With INEC Ahead Of Osun 2026 Guber Election

  As the August 15 Osun governorship election draws near the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner for Osun State, Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola has assured that Commission would offer full cooperation to media practitioners. Mrs Babalola also assured that the August 15 governorship election in the state will be credible, free, inclusive and transparent. Aid sites in Gaza were temporarily closed





The Israeli-backed group distributing food in Gaza closed its four sites yesterday, a day after Palestinians trying to get supplies came under Israeli fire.

The group, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, said that it expected to reopen the aid centers later today and that the pause would enable them to better receive large numbers of Palestinians.

Dozens of Palestinians have been killed near an aid site in Rafah in two episodes this week, according to local health workers. 

The circumstances of the shootings remain contested and have further ensnarled the beleaguered Israeli-backed aid effort. Britain has however pressed for an independent investigation.

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

Driver Chop Off Vehicle Inspection Officer’s Ear Over Car Particular

  A yet-to-identified Sienna car driver has reportedly bitten the ear of a Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) identified as Papu Prosper. The incident occurred during a heated argument between the officer and the driver along Eagle Roundabout by Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State.
