Eid el-Kabir: Oyetola Calls for Unity, Salutes Osun Muslims and APC Faithful in Spirit of Sacrifice

The Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, has extended heartfelt Eid el-Kabir greetings to the Muslim faithful in Osun State and across Nigeria, urging reflection on the values of sacrifice, devotion, and communal harmony that define the sacred festival.

Special Adviser (Media and Communications) on Wednesday, Oyetola, who is the immediate past Governor of Osun State and a prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), described Eid el-Kabir as a solemn reminder of Prophet Ibrahim unwavering obedience to Allah, calling on citizens to emulate the prophet’s spirit of submission, faith, and service.

“Eid al-Adha reminds us of Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to God’s will, an example of trust, obedience, and unshakable faith. It is a time to reflect, to give generously, and to renew our commitment to values that uplift both our personal lives and society at large,” Oyetola said.

The Minister praised the resilience, tolerance, and industrious spirit of the people of Osun, encouraging them to rise above religious and political differences for the sake of peace and collective progress. He noted that unity remains a cornerstone for building a stronger, more prosperous state and nation.

Oyetola also took a moment to commend members of the APC in Osun, recognizing their loyalty and perseverance amidst changing tides. He called on party faithful to use the occasion to reaffirm their shared vision for development and good governance.

“I salute our APC leaders, stalwarts, and grassroots supporters for your unwavering belief in the ideals of our great party. Let this celebration be a time of introspection and renewed unity as we continue the journey to a greater Osun and a better Nigeria.”

In line with the values of Eid, the Minister stressed the importance of social solidarity, urging citizens to reach out to the less privileged and to make sacrifice not just a ritual but a lived expression of compassion and empathy.

“Sacrifice is more than a rite, it is a call to action. Let us offer our time, our resources, and our care to those in need, especially in these trying times,” he added.

Oyetola concluded his message with prayers for peace, development, and divine guidance for the leaders and citizens of the nation.
