…Say Monarch's Claim Exposes Adeleke's Gross Incompetence, Loss Of Security Control Of Osun The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Sunday demanded probe into the alleged assassination attempt on the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji. The party leaders noted that the Ataoja's assassination claim has further exposed Governor Ademola Adeleke's gross incompetence, ineptitude and total loss of the control of the state security. They called on security agencies to beam their searchlight and investigate the alleged assassination attempt on the monarch as part of efforts to unraveling the circumstances surrounding the monarch’s claim. The party specifically urged the National Security Adviser (NSA), the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other relevant security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. Open Letter to Arteta and the Arsenal Board: Why Victor GyΓΆkeres is the Missing Firepower for a New Invincibles Era

— We Need More Energy, Hunger, and Relentlessness Than the O2 Era

Dear Mikel Arteta and the Esteemed Arsenal Board,

First, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mikel Arteta for reviving the Arsenal spirit,  instilling leadership, discipline, and an identity rooted in beautiful, strategic football. Under your guidance, Arsenal has shown the world that we are not just contenders but the standard in modern football. Our recent UEFA Champions League campaign, though short of the trophy, proved to all that Arsenal is back where it belongs, at the top.

Over the last two seasons, we’ve witnessed consistent brilliance. Twice finishing as league runners-up, narrowly missing the crown, shows how close we are. But now, we believe it’s time to cross that final line. To do so, we need an injection of raw energy, hunger, and instinct, the kind Victor GyΓΆkeres embodies.

GyΓΆkeres is not just a striker. He’s a relentless force. His brilliant runs, explosive finishes, and sheer physicality could be the key to unlocking tight games and leading us to long-overdue glory. Arsenal deserves a new anthem, something to rival the chants of the Highbury days. We want a fresh euphoria, reminiscent of the O2 era, but powered by today’s fire.

We are also immensely proud of the new generation of Gunners like Ethan Nwaneri and Lewis Skelly. As Nigerians, from the East to the North, South to West, we celebrate their progress with pride. They represent our future, and we urge the board to continue nurturing such gems.

As a devoted Gunner and a voice for many,

Abioye Tosin Lawrence,

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
