The Coalition of Nigeria Youths on Security and Safety Affairs has applauded the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, for his unwavering dedication to enhancing Nigeria’s security architecture, promoting civil-military collaboration, and restoring public confidence in the armed forces.
In a statement issued by its leadership, the Coalition described General Musa’s approach as “visionary, proactive, and people-centered,” highlighting significant strides made under his command in joint military operations, inter-agency cooperation, and intelligence coordination,
especially in combating insurgency, banditry, and other evolving threats.
“We are proud of the professionalism, discipline, and renewed morale within the Armed Forces under General Musa’s leadership,” the group stated. “His focus on capacity-building and operational readiness has made a real impact across various theatres of operation.”
The Coalition noted the ongoing security operations in the North-Central and North-West regions, commending the military’s success in dismantling criminal networks, rescuing kidnapped victims, and recovering illegal arms.
Director General of the Coalition, Amb. Ade Mario Emmanuel, praised the CDS for his inclusive leadership style. “General Musa has demonstrated that security leadership demands vision, courage, and partnership. His engagement with traditional rulers, youth groups, civil society, and global allies is fostering a more united and secure Nigeria,” he said.
He also lauded the recent welfare and reform initiatives introduced for frontline troops, describing them as timely and morale-boosting. “A secure nation starts with a well-supported military,” he added. “The CDS has shown sincere commitment to the well-being and development of the Nigerian soldier.”
Reaffirming their support for the Armed Forces of Nigeria, the Coalition pledged to intensify grassroots advocacy campaigns promoting safety, vigilance, and peace building in Nigeria State and beyond.
The group urged all Nigerians to support the military’s patriotic efforts and called on political leaders, community heads, and religious institutions to champion dialogue, intelligence sharing, and youth inclusion as tools for lasting peace.
