A terrorist commander has issued a chilling threat, boasting that his group could abduct Nigeria’s President “in the days ahead,” following a new wave of attacks and kidnappings across parts of Kebbi and Niger states.


In a video circulating online,


the armed leader mocked security agencies and claimed responsibility for recent abductions, vowing that his network would escalate assaults unless the government meets unspecified demands. The threat has sparked widespread concern among citizens and security analysts, who warn that such rhetoric reflects growing boldness among violent extremist groups operating in the North-West.


The latest incidents in Kebbi and Niger have seen villagers forcefully taken from their communities, with locals reporting that the attackers operated unchallenged for hours. Residents say fear has gripped several rural settlements as bandits continue to terrorize farmers, travellers, and community leaders.
