The Osun State Chairman of ACCORD, Pastor Victor Akande, has denied a media report that Adeleke had not contacted him regarding his second term bid. Akande, who doubles as the Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Osun State, stated this in reaction to a media report that he had not been consulted by Governor Adeleke, maintaining that he never made any official statement in that regard.
Akande therefore stated that his political party ACCORD will soon make an official statement for the information of the entire public regarding the issue, urging the public to believe only the information availed directly and officially by the political party.
