Adeleke Declares Continuity Movement as He Accepts Accord Governorship Ticket for 2026”

 Osogbo — In a charged atmosphere at the Oasis Hotel, Agunbelewo, Osogbo, His Excellency Senator Ademola Adeleke formally accepted his nomination as the Accord Party Governorship Candidate for the 2026 Osun Gubernatorial Election, describing the moment as a renewed mandate for continuity, progress, and people-centred governance.


Addressing delegates drawn from all 332 wards across Osun State, Adeleke expressed profound gratitude to party leaders and faithful members for reposing confidence in him. He pledged never to take the trust for granted.


“We are today launching the battle for continuity of progress, good governance and democratic dividends. My candidacy signals the sustenance of the golden movement,” Adeleke declared.




He emphasized that the 2026 race would be a clear contest of records, challenging opponents to present what they achieved during their time in office.



 “In their days in power, they failed the people; they failed their party; they even failed themselves,” he said, noting that the electorate has since rejected them.




Adeleke highlighted his administration’s achievements over the last three years, stressing that governance under his leadership has been practical, measurable, and result-oriented, citing key performance areas:


Osun’s national educational rating improved from 33rd to 7th


Infrastructure deficit reduced by over 40% between 2022 and 2025


Over 40% of inherited state debt repaid, backed by DMO data


Osun ranks first in access to primary healthcare in the South-West



According to him, these achievements prove that governance can be real and leadership can genuinely serve people. Adeleke noted that he has delivered substantially on his initial five-point agenda promised in 2022.


With the acceptance of his nomination, he unveiled an upgraded Five-Point Agenda for the next phase:


1. Integrated Citizens and Workers’ Welfare



2. Infrastructure Consolidation for Economic Prosperity



3. Agro-Industrial Expansion for Youth Empowerment



4. Innovation in Health, Education, and Social Care



5. Improved Business Environment for Job Creation




Adeleke vowed to lead Accord to a decisive victory in the 2026 polls.


 “By God and man, I vow to lead our great party to victory in 2026.”




He concluded with prayers for the party and the people of Osun State.
