Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted to a social media comment predicting his involvement with the All Progressives Congress (APC) should Governor Ademola Adeleke fail in his 2026 reelection bid.
The conversation began on Wednesday after an X user, @Wewe_of_Lagos, suggested that Davido would be the one to compose APC’s campaign song for the 2027 general elections if Governor Adeleke loses his second-term bid.
The user wrote:
If e lose na Davido go compose song for APC during 2027 campaign.”
In a swift and confident response, Davido dismissed the claim, stating that his family is not dependent on politics for survival or success. According to him, a loss at the polls would simply mean returning to their thriving business empire.
He replied:
“Or we can just go back to our multi billion dollar company…”
Davido’s reaction has since generated buzz across social media, with many interpreting it as a reminder of the Adeleke family’s financial strength and independence from political outcomes.
Governor Ademola Adeleke is expected to seek a second term in the 2026 Osun governorship election, a race already drawing attention across political circles and online communities.
