…Say Monarch's Claim Exposes Adeleke's Gross Incompetence, Loss Of Security Control Of Osun The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Sunday demanded probe into the alleged assassination attempt on the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji. The party leaders noted that the Ataoja's assassination claim has further exposed Governor Ademola Adeleke's gross incompetence, ineptitude and total loss of the control of the state security. They called on security agencies to beam their searchlight and investigate the alleged assassination attempt on the monarch as part of efforts to unraveling the circumstances surrounding the monarch’s claim. The party specifically urged the National Security Adviser (NSA), the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other relevant security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. No Political Party in Rivers Now, Only Renewed Hope Family — Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that political party affiliations in Rivers State no longer matter, insisting that all parties in the state have effectively collapsed into a single political family aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Wike made the assertion on Wednesday while addressing stakeholders at a political gathering held in Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.

According to the former Rivers State governor, the prevailing political reality in the state has transcended party lines, with leaders and supporters rallying behind President Tinubu’s leadership and re-election bid.

“There is no political party in Rivers State again for now. What we have is the Renewed Hope family,” Wike declared.

He stressed that the coalition of interests cutting across party boundaries is driven by a shared commitment to national stability, development, and the consolidation of the current administration’s policies.

Wike noted that political actors in Rivers have chosen unity over division, arguing that governance and performance should take precedence over partisan rivalry.

The FCT minister further urged stakeholders and grassroots leaders to sustain their support for President Tinubu, emphasizing that the Renewed Hope Agenda represents a pathway to economic growth, infrastructural development, and improved governance across the country.

The event in Asari-Toru LGA drew party leaders, community influencers, and political stakeholders from across the area, signaling what Wike described as a growing consensus in Rivers State in support of the Tinubu administration.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
