“Oluomo Sunday Akere Praises De-Moon Visual Studio, Calls on Osun to Back Indigenous Media”

 

The Osun State Ambassador of the Renewed Hope Agenda and former Osun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Oluomo Sunday Akere, has commended Mukhtar Ajelogbon's years of resilience, consistency, and contribution to media development in Osun State, calling on residents and stakeholders to continue supporting indigenous media platforms.

Akere gave the commendation on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, during a visit and interview session at the De-Moon Visual Studio in Osogbo, where he described the organisation as a growing force in Osun’s evolving media landscape.

“I am impressed by what I saw here this morning,” Akere said in a special laurel to the media outfit. I want to congratulate Abiodun Ajelogbon, the management, and staff of De-Moon Media Links for setting up this type of studio. It has been a wonderful experience coming here today.”

The grassroots politician and Oluomo of Igbajoland, praised the organisation’s determination and growth over the years, urging its leadership not to relent despite early challenges.

“We should not relent despise the days of little beginning. You've started long time ago, and I know you are going places. Remain determined, focused, and do not allow distractions,” he advised.

Akere further acknowledged the growing role of young people in shaping Osun’s media and digital space, noting that youths remain critical to governance support and information dissemination in the state.

“Osun is improving socially and in the media space, and it is the youths that are helping us pilot affairs,” he said, assuring Ajelogbon of continued support.

“I assure you of our support and that we will always be there whenever you call on us.”
