Former presidential aspirant, CBN Onwuasoanya Ezendigbo, has declared that the long-standing controversy surrounding the transmission of election results would become a thing of the past if he emerges President in 2027.
Speaking during an interview with Oriontimes, he emphasized that modern technology has already made transparency achievable, arguing that a nation capable of conducting financial transactions through cards and mobile phones should equally be able to transmit election results seamlessly.
Ezendigbo stressed that transparent governance would be the cornerstone of his administration, asserting that electoral violence and irregularities would drastically reduce once technology is fully integrated into the voting and result-collation process.
He noted that even primary school pupils now possess mobile phones, questioning why election transmission should remain a debate when accessibility to digital tools is widespread. According to him, any telecommunications company unwilling to support transparent election transmission should not be allowed to operate within Nigeria.
Beyond electoral reforms, Ezendigbo reiterated his broader commitment to accountability across all arms of government from legislative institutions to public agencies, promising a governance model built on openness and measurable responsibility.
Notably, Ezendigbo is also recognized as the founder of Better Nigeria for Better People, an initiative aimed at promoting ethical leadership, civic responsibility, and national development through citizen participation and policy advocacy. Through this platform, he has consistently championed reforms designed to strengthen democratic values and institutional integrity nationwide.
