Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, during the public presentation and review of a book chronicling his life, leadership journey, and contributions to society.
The colourful event, held amidst excitement and admiration from guests who came from different parts of Osun State and beyond, highlighted the impact of Dr. Omoyele’s service to humanity, his dedication to community development, and his role in strengthening the security architecture of Osun State through the Amotekun Corps.
In his profoundly eloquent welcome address, Aree Olagunju Joseph, the esteemed Secretary of the Planning Committee, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the distinguished dignitaries and eminent personalities in attendance. He extolled High Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, as an exceptionally illustrious personality, a visionary leader, and a man divinely ordained for greatness, whose remarkable contributions to humanity and society make him eminently deserving of such honour and recognition.
He further stated that it was an immense privilege and an extraordinary honour to preside over such a monumental and intellectually enriching occasion — the official unveiling of the book titled “The Power Force of Destiny.” According to him, the gathering was not merely to celebrate the publication of a literary masterpiece, but to commemorate a profound message of purposefulness, optimism, resilience, and divine orchestration.
The book, he remarked, profoundly illuminates the reality that destiny is neither coincidental nor arbitrarily attained, but rather cultivated through unwavering vision, steadfast faith, relentless determination, and divine guidance from Almighty God.
He commended the author for producing such an inspirational and transformative literary work that possesses the capacity to positively influence lives, awaken hidden potentials, and encourage countless individuals to discover, embrace, and ultimately fulfill their God-ordained destinies.
As the event progressed, he encouraged everyone present to draw inspiration from the occasion by courageously and wisely pursuing their individual destinies with diligence and unwavering commitment. He also passionately urged all attendees to support the remarkable work by reading the book extensively, sharing its timeless message with others, and applying its invaluable lessons to their everyday lives for personal growth and societal advancement.
In his sermon, Ven. Evang. Dr. Isaac Komolafe commended High Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele for his outstanding leadership and his commitment to always standing for the people. He encouraged everyone to emulate his good character and leadership style, saying, “The greatest among you shall be your servant” (Matthew 23:11).
Speaking passionately at the event, the Field Commander, Dr. Capt. Olusoji Akanni, described High Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele as “a man of destiny” whose emergence as Corps Commander has brought remarkable progress and transformation to the Osun Amotekun Corps.
According to him, his relationship with Dr. Omoyele dates back many years before he became Corps Commander, revealing that both of them attended the same university and studied the same course. He stated that Omoyele possesses uncommon wisdom, exceptional leadership qualities, and a strong sense of purpose that has continued to distinguish him in public service.
Dr. Akanni noted that many positive developments currently being witnessed within the Corps were previously considered impossible, but have become reality under Omoyele’s leadership. He further stressed that God’s hand upon the Corps Commander’s life remains evident in his achievements and influence.
“He is truly a man of destiny. Good things that have never happened before are now happening. God is with him, and his leadership has brought progress and renewed confidence to the Corps,” he declared.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Administrative Officer of the Corps, Ojetunde Isaac, described Dr. Omoyele as a compassionate, accommodating, and selfless leader who consistently prioritises the welfare of the people.
He praised the Corps Commander for his sacrifice, commitment, and generosity, noting that he remains steadfast in both difficult and favourable times.
“In the rain and in the sun, he always stands for the people. He has a very large heart and continues to spend his resources and time for the growth of others and the progress of society,” he said.
Ojetunde further described the event as the beginning of greater success and recognition for the Corps Commander, adding that genuine service to humanity naturally attracts honour and appreciation.
The book review session was led by the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Osun State Chapter, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo, who gave an extensive analysis of the book and its significance to society, especially young people seeking inspiration and direction in life.
Arapasopo stated that the book vividly captures the life journey, achievements, challenges, and resilience of Dr. Omoyele, portraying how destiny, perseverance, and dedication can shape a successful life.
He described the Corps Commander as an accommodating and hardworking leader who remains committed to serving the people regardless of circumstances. According to him, the publication serves not only as a biography but also as a motivational guide capable of inspiring younger generations to remain focused despite life’s obstacles.
“This book speaks about his good deeds, his challenges, and how he overcame them. It shows clearly how destiny works in the life of a determined individual,” he said.
The labour leader further recommended that the book should be made available online to enable wider access for readers across the country and beyond.
The event also witnessed royal blessings and commendations from the Olufon of Ifon-Osun, His Imperial Majesty Oba Isola Peter Ipadelola, who applauded both the book reviewer and the Corps Commander for their contributions to society.
The monarch praised Comrade Arapasopo for his consistent advocacy and struggle for the welfare of Osun workers while also recounting his long-standing relationship with Dr. Omoyele.
Oba Ipadelola recalled meeting Omoyele during the Osun traditional leadership struggles and described him as a dependable and resourceful personality whose physical appearance belies his enormous capacity and influence.
“This short man people talk about — they always say, ‘Go and meet Omoyele.’ Small body, big engine,” the monarch remarked humorously, drawing laughter and applause from guests.
The royal father congratulated the Osun Amotekun Corps for having such a committed leader within its ranks and advised officers of the Corps to tap into his wealth of experience and leadership qualities for greater institutional growth.
In his emotional response, the Corps Commander, High Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, expressed profound gratitude to the author of the book, the organisers of the event, traditional rulers, government representatives, colleagues, and all dignitaries who honoured him with their presence.
He specifically acknowledged the presence of his wife Rev. Ap. Mother Mrs Omolola Omoyele, His Imperial Majesty Oba Isola Peter Ipadelola, representatives of the Osun State Government, the Sango of Africa, Field Commander Dr. Capt. Olusoji Akanni, the Corps Legal Adviser Barrister Oyedele Akintayo, guest preacher Dr. Isaac Komolafe, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo, Ambassadors, Area Commanders, HOD's, Local Government Commanders, Operatives and several other distinguished guests.
Dr. Omoyele revealed that he only became aware of the programme shortly before the event after questioning the organisers about unusual arrangements around him. According to him, the organisers intentionally kept the event secret as a surprise package in his honour.
“I truly appreciate everyone who travelled from far and near to honour me today. I was only informed recently because the organisers wanted it to be a surprise,” he said.
Delivering a deeply reflective speech, Dr. Omoyele used the opportunity to encourage young people never to abandon their dreams due to temporary setbacks, criticism, or disappointments.
He stressed that every individual carries within them the seed of greatness and that destiny often unfolds through challenges rather than comfort.
“This book reminds us that regardless of our background, challenges, or present circumstances, every individual carries within them the seed of greatness,” he stated.
The Corps Commander further described leadership as a divine call to sacrifice, service, courage, integrity, and commitment to humanity rather than merely an opportunity to exercise power.
He explained that the establishment and growth of the Osun Amotekun Corps stand as proof that positive change becomes possible whenever purpose aligns with determination and discipline.
“Our mission has always been to protect lives, secure communities, preserve peace, and strengthen the confidence of our people. This responsibility requires vigilance, wisdom, discipline, and a sense of destiny toward service to humanity,” he noted.
Addressing the growing challenges facing Nigerian youths, including unemployment, insecurity, economic hardship, and societal pressure, Dr. Omoyele urged young people not to lose hope or underestimate their potential.
“Your present condition is not the final chapter of your life. Challenges are temporary, but purpose is permanent,” he declared.
He advised youths to pursue knowledge, build strong character, embrace hard work, and remain focused on their goals, emphasising that success is achieved through preparation and determination.
Speaking further on the relevance of literature and intellectual development, Dr. Omoyele described books as powerful instruments capable of transforming society, preserving wisdom, and inspiring generations.
“This book is timely because our generation urgently needs moral rebirth, visionary leadership, and renewed hope. We need voices that inspire courage instead of fear, unity instead of division, and progress instead of stagnation,” he said.
He commended the author for the creativity, sacrifice, patience, and intellectual commitment invested in producing the book, adding that such literary efforts contribute meaningfully to societal transformation.
Dr. Omoyele also called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, government officials, and stakeholders to continue investing in youth empowerment, education, moral development, and security, stressing that the future of society depends largely on the values promoted today.
As the event came to a close, guests applauded the inspiring messages delivered throughout the programme while many described the occasion as not only a celebration of one man’s achievements but also a strong reminder that destiny, hard work, discipline, and service remain essential pillars for building a better society.
In her vote of thanks, the Chairlady of the programme, Rev. Ap. Mother Mrs. Omolola Omoyele, sincerely appreciated all the dignitaries and distinguished guests who came to celebrate her husband during the launch of the inspiring book, The Power Force of Destiny. She expressed deep gratitude for their presence, support, and encouragement, which added great value and honour to the occasion.
