The Youth Leader of the ACCORD Party in Osun State, Honourable Babalola Tolulope, has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for what he described as his performance in office, wishing him success in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15.


Speaking on the party's political position, Babalola said the ACCORD Party in Osun had unanimously endorsed Honourable Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as its preferred presidential candidate, stressing that the party's support is solely for him.


He described Olawepo-Hashim as a Nigerian businessman, pro-democracy advocate, and seasoned politician with decades of experience in public service and national development. According to him, the former student activist has remained committed to advancing good governance, economic growth, national unity, and private sector-driven development through his involvement in politics and public policy.


Addressing questions about the party's readiness for future elections, the Osun ACCORD Youth Leader dismissed concerns over the party's electoral participation, assuring members and supporters that the party would be on the ballot.


"People have been asking about our party and whether we will be on the ballot. They should rest assured that ACCORD remains a political powerhouse," he said.


He added that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had cleared the party to participate in elections, expressing confidence in the provisions of the Electoral Act and the party's electoral prospects.


Babalola further noted that the party has previously recorded electoral victories, including in Jigawa State, and has produced candidates who have won elections, expressing optimism that ACCORD would continue to play a significant role in Nigeria's democratic process.
