I thought perhaps the sacrifices of those who fought for democracy were enough testimony. My message is particularly for those who believe that the business of Nigeria lies in the hands of a powerful few. Perhaps they are influenced by what the German sociologist Robert Michels described as the "Iron Law of Oligarchy" ,the tendency for power to concentrate in the hands of a small elite. President Mahama's Inauguration: Governor Adeleke Calls for Subnational Partnership between Ghana and Nigeria

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has called on leaders of Ghana and Nigeria to extend the close partnership between the two countries to subnational levels for mutually beneficial outcomes. The State Governor issued the statement after a close door meeting with President Mahama at his residence in Accra, praising the historical relationship between the two countries as deserving of further elevation. “We congratulate our brother, president Mahama on his assumption of office. We hail President Bola Tinubu on his great outing at the inauguration. On this auspicious occasion, we seek the relationship between the two nations to be taken to the level of subnational partnership. “The Ghana-Nigeria Commission should specially encourage state - regional governments cooperations. Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident.
