As Osun State prepares for the August 15, 2026 governorship election, the Director-General of the Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security and Safety Affairs (CONYSSA), Amb. Ade Mario, will feature on the Oriontimes Podcast today, Wednesday, August 12.
The podcast, themed “Osun 2026: Election Security, Youth and the Peaceful Exercise of Democracy,” will focus on critical issues surrounding security and safety ahead of the election.
With just three days to the poll, the conversation will examine the security situation across the state, the role of youths in ensuring a peaceful electoral process, voter safety, political violence and the responsibilities of citizens before, during and after the election.
As the Director-General of CONYSSA, Amb. Ade Mario is expected to bring his perspective on the security challenges that could affect the election and the measures required to protect voters and maintain peace.
The discussion will also highlight the need for young people to reject political violence and refuse to be used as instruments for disrupting the democratic process.
The Oriontimes Podcast is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. today and will provide an opportunity for listeners to engage with important questions surrounding election security and peaceful democratic participation in Osun State.
The programme comes at a crucial moment as political parties and their supporters make final preparations for the August 15 election.
