The Osun State governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Dr. Oyelami Saliu, popularly known as Orisunlagba, has urged voters across the state to support the PRP in the August 15 governorship election, describing his party as the credible alternative for Osun.
Saliu made the call while addressing supporters in Ikirun on Tuesday, where he criticised the ruling political establishment, accusing the APC of worsening the economic situation of ordinary citizens.
He also expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the Accord administration, particularly in areas including education, security and political management.
According to him, Osun needs a new direction built around inclusive governance, economic empowerment and improved public services.
“When elected by God's grace, my administration will patronize and prioritize all Osun people and not just my town or family, help the masses, focus on agriculture, infrastructure, education, employment, health and security.
“My vision is to reunite Osun people across party lines and restore confidence in political leadership.”
The PRP candidate appealed to voters to vote for his party and thumbprint the PRP symbol on Saturday, August 15, stressing that his administration would place the interests of the people above partisan, family or sectional considerations.
Saliu further positioned himself as an alternative to the major political parties, urging Osun voters to use the election to demand a government focused on the welfare and development of the people.
