Gunman Kills 10 in Austrian High School Shooting

A former student opened fire at a high school in Graz, Austria, on Tuesday, killing at least 10 people before taking his own life in one of Europe's deadliest school shootings in recent years.

Authorities said the 21-year-old gunman was armed with a legally purchased pistol and a long gun. He was later found dead in a school restroom.

Chancellor Christian Stocker has declared three days of national mourning, calling the tragedy “a dark day for our nation.”
