Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement (GHSM) Inaugurated in Osun State: Leaders Rally Support for Presidential Hopeful

In a bid to consolidate grassroots support for the 2027 presidential race, the Osun State chapter of the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement (GHSM) was officially inaugurated, with key political figures pledging allegiance

to the vision of Honourable Gbenga Olawepo Hashim.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with Osun Reporters, Mr. Adebayo Kamorudeen, Chief of Staff to the presidential hopeful, described the movement as one that “cuts across both state and local government structures” in service of their principal.

“Gbenga Hashim has no greater work than fighting for the people. The struggle began when he was just 19 years old, and today he has earned global recognition,” Kamorudeen said. He further highlighted Hashim’s intellectual brilliance, noting his exceptional academic record. “For somebody from Nigeria to have led his class while earning a Master’s degree in Global Affairs in the United States is no small feat,” he remarked.

Hazmat Abdulrazak, the National Coordinator of GHSM, emphasized the historical and political importance of Osun State, describing it as a testing ground for justice and accountability. He criticized the withholding of local government funds by the federal government, stating: “A government that loves its people will not withhold local government funds that should energize the economy.”

Honourable Tajudeen Hassan, State Coordinator of GHSM, shared insights on the mobilization efforts within Osun. “People love this gathering; they came from different local governments across the state to inaugurate this movement for Dr. Hashim’s presidential ambition,” he said. Hassan added that the movement has the awareness and cooperation of the state governor, a fellow PDP leader.

On whether Hashim’s presidential ambition could split Southwest interests, GHSM leaders dismissed the fears. “The Southwest remains the leading light of Nigeria. Our people can see what is going on, and they will make the right choice,” one of the coordinators affirmed.

With its Osun launch, GHSM is positioning itself as a rallying platform for national unity and grassroots mobilization, signaling the start of a broader campaign for Gbenga Olawepo Hashim’s presidential ambition.
