BREAKING: EXCLUSIVE; Horror on Abuja Highway as Suspected Bandits Abduct Motorists, Demand ₦8 Million Ransom

 


A disturbing video obtained by Oriontimes appears to show victims of a suspected bandit attack along the Abuja Highway being subjected to brutal treatment after their abduction.


In the footage, armed men believed to be bandits are seen surrounding several victims, estimated to be about five in number, in a bushy location. The victims appeared distressed as the captors allegedly threatened and tortured them.


One of the armed men was seen holding a knife while intimidating the captives, raising concerns over their safety and the increasing insecurity on major highways across the country.


Among the victims identified in the video is a woman named Wasilat, who was reportedly travelling from Lagos to Abuja before the attack. She was seen being dragged on the ground by the abductors.


According to information accompanying the video, the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of ₦8 million for her release.


Oriontimes has not independently verified all the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the exact location, date of the attack, or the identities of those involved. However, the footage has renewed concerns about the activities of criminal gangs operating along some of Nigeria's highways.
