The inauguration of the Osun State chapter of the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council is scheduled to hold on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Oasis Event Centre, Osogbo, with several prominent political figures listed in its proposed structure.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by Mallam Olawale Rasheed, spokesperson to the state coordinator, the event is scheduled for 12 noon and is expected to bring together political leaders, serving and former legislators, local government chairpersons and party officials from across the state.
Among the prominent names listed under the All Progressives Congress (APC) are former Osun State Governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola; former Osun Governor and APC chieftain, Chief Bisi Akande; former Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Iyiola Omisore; Senator Ajibola Basiru; Senator Jide Omoworare; Senator Sola Adeyeye; and former Osun governorship candidate, Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji.
Other APC figures named include Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi, House of Representatives member Wole Oke, lawyer Kunle Adegoke (SAN), and several other serving and former lawmakers.
Adeleke, Adewusi, Obada, Others Feature in Accord/PDP List
The proposed structure also contains an extensive list of political figures identified under Accord and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reflecting the council's stated intention to accommodate politicians across party lines.
Among those listed are Governor Ademola Adeleke, former Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi, former Minister of Defence Erelu Olusola Obada, Senator Lere Oyewumi, House of Representatives member Bamidele Salam, former Osun governorship aspirant Moshood Adeoti, and former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun.
Also named are former Osun State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Kolapo Alimi; former Commissioner for Information, Hon. Sunday Bisi; and several serving and former members of the National Assembly and state legislature.
The list further includes political figures associated with the two political groupings, alongside party executives, local government chairpersons and other stakeholders.
Extensive Representation Across Osun's Political Landscape
Beyond the leading political figures, the proposed council structure includes serving and former federal lawmakers, former members of the Osun State House of Assembly, local government chairpersons and party executives.
