Hon. Olaore Naheem Oladimeji Itura, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Lagelu State House of Assembly seat, has continued his grassroots consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, taking his campaign to Ward 5 in Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The outreach, held on October 18, featured engagements with members of the Hausa community, visits to churches and a meeting with ADC leaders, members and supporters at Gbena Iyalode.

According to a statement issued, the visit provided an opportunity for residents and party faithful to share their concerns and discuss their expectations ahead of the next general elections.

Itura said participants expressed interest in his engagement with the community and pledged to undertake house-to-house and door-to-door sensitisation to promote the ADC's message ahead of the 2027 polls.

The candidate also linked the growing demand for political engagement to the economic difficulties facing Nigerians, arguing that residents were seeking responsive leadership, improved welfare and a new direction in governance.

Itura Promises Engagement on Community Concerns

During the visit, members of the Kute/Jenriyin community reportedly raised concerns about challenges affecting their area.

Itura said he had assured them of a return visit and encouraged community representatives to submit their requests in writing for onward presentation to the appropriate authorities.

He reiterated his commitment to the community's welfare and development, describing Kute/Jenriyin as a place with special significance to him.

The candidate said he would continue engaging residents and pursuing solutions to issues raised during his consultations.

ADC Leaders, Supporters Attend Ward Meeting

The Ward 5 meeting also attracted Hon. Tobi Moses Odeleru, the ADC candidate for Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency, whose attendance Itura described as a demonstration of solidarity within the party.

The candidate acknowledged the contributions of the ADC Local Government Chairman, Hon. Dauda Adegite, alongside ward leaders, women leaders, youth representatives and other party members who participated in the meeting.

He said the outreach had reinforced his commitment to grassroots engagement, inclusive development and people-oriented representation.

Campaign Intensifies Ahead of 2027

The Ward 5 visit forms part of Itura's ongoing consultation and mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

While expressing optimism about the party's prospects, the ADC candidate called for continued participation and mobilisation among supporters, declaring his ambition to secure victory in the forthcoming elections.

He concluded with his campaign slogan: "ITURA FOR LAGELU! ADC IS OUR PARTY! SOLUTIONS 2027!"

OrionTimes News reports that the account of the campaign activities and the commitments outlined above is based on a statement issued by the candidate.
