Negative Remarks on Hilda Baci’s Culinary Feat Dim Nigeria’s Brilliance

Most of us are tired of living in a society where noise and gimmicks are mistaken for talent, while those who spend months planning true greatness are left uncelebrated.

We long for a country where no talent is wasted, where our products and people are not only recognized abroad but also honored at home. We have seen this before with Nigerian athletes who earned massive respect outside our borders while struggling for recognition here.

Hilda Baci, in her recent interview, narrated how long she planned the cooking event before turning it into reality. Rather than fault-finding or dragging her achievement into tribal sentiment, Nigerians should embrace this new record with pride and encouragement.

Many people put resources together to support her during her Guinness World Record cook-a-thon. She has discovered a new ground, one that places Nigeria in the global spotlight. This is not the time to water down her effort with cynicism or envy.

Instead, we must lift the spirit of Nigerianess, celebrate our achievers in their lifetime, and create an atmosphere where brilliance is nurtured, not buried.
