IMF Warns of Slowing Global Growth Amid Policy Uncertainty

By Oriontimes Business Desk

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has forecast a slowdown in global economic growth, dropping from 3.3 % in 2024 to 3.2 % in 2025.

The World Economic Outlook report cites rising protectionism, sluggish investment, and policy uncertainty as key factors.

While inflation has eased in some advanced economies, developing nations face mounting debt and reduced capital inflows. The IMF urged governments to “pursue coordinated policies” to prevent a deeper global slump.
