“Awesome God 2025”: A Decade of Praise, Gratitude and Divine Reflections in Osogbo

 



In a colourful atmosphere filled with songs of gratitude and deep spiritual reflection, the 2025 edition of Awesome God, a signature praise programme spearheaded by the General Manager of Osun CSDA, Dr. Mrs. Abokede, held in grand style at the Aurora Event and Conference Centre, Osogbo. 


This year’s edition marked the 10th anniversary of the annual gathering, themed “I Will Sing Unto the Lord, for He Has Triumphed Victoriously.”


The event, renowned for reconnecting people with old memories of God’s faithfulness, sharing of testimonies of God, lived up to its billing. The host created a nostalgic blend of worship, cultural expressions and thanksgiving moments that kept participants immersed throughout.


From heartfelt praise and worship sessions by different gospel singers and artists to the rendition of timeless CAC hymns, the auditorium echoed with voices lifted in thanksgiving.


A solemn Bible recitation was read from Psalms 100:1–5, further anchoring the gathering in scripture and reverence.


Participants alongside the ever-charismatic MC Focus added exceptional colour to the celebration with poetic renditions and evergreen end-of-year class


ics such as “Odun n lo so pin o baba rere,” “Labe igi oronbo,” and other traditional melodious chants that stirred emotions and reminded many of life’s journey and divine preservation.





The anniversary celebration attracted a distinguished roll call of dignitaries, including: traditional rulers, political office holders, politicians, technocrats, Christian groups, churches representatives, family members among others to mark another Awesome God session.



The 10th anniversary of Awesome God once again reaffirmed its place as a spiritually uplifting, culturally rich and community-binding event in Osun State, an occasion where gratitude flows, memories are rekindled, and faith is strengthened for the journey ahead.

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss
