U.S. Marine Veteran Arrested After Interrupting Senate Hearing With Anti-War Protest

 A U.S. Marine veteran was arrested after interrupting a hearing at the United States Senate Armed Services Committee with an anti-war protest, drawing attention to growing public debate over U.S. involvement in overseas conflicts.

The protester, identified as Brian McGinnis, stood up during the session and began shouting that many Americans do not want to see their sons and daughters sent to fight in foreign wars.

McGinnis expressed frustration over military deployments abroad, arguing that ordinary soldiers are often placed on the front lines while political leaders remain far removed from the realities of war.

Security personnel quickly intervened as officers from the United States Capitol Police moved to remove him from the hearing room. Reports indicate that McGinnis continued shouting as he was escorted out, resisting officers before he was eventually detained.

Authorities later confirmed that he was arrested and could face charges related to resisting law enforcement during the incident.
