OOPA Seeks Stronger Collaboration With INEC Ahead Of Osun 2026 Guber Election

  As the August 15 Osun governorship election draws near the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner for Osun State, Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola has assured that Commission would offer full cooperation to media practitioners. JUST IN: Wole Oke Strikes Again as Commissioner Loses Ex-Ward Secretary, 37 Loyalists to APC


In another political shake-up within the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), federal lawmaker Hon. Wole Oke has received a fresh batch of defectors this time from the stronghold of Hon. Mayowa Adejorin, the state's Commissioner for Environment.


An ex-ward secretary and 37 others who were loyal to Adejorin have dumped the PDP and pledged allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC), in what observers are calling a growing tide of realignment ahead of 2026.





The latest defection took place in Adejorin’s hometown, sending a strong message about the dwindling influence of the

commissioner and the widening appeal of Hon. Wole Oke, whose recent move to the APC continues to unsettle the PDP leadership.

According to sources close to the defectors, the move was motivated by dissatisfaction with the PDP’s internal handling of local interests, and growing trust in Oke’s leadership and vision for inclusive governance.



With each wave of political realignment, Wole Oke appears to be reinforcing his status as a formidable force in Osun politics, transforming quiet discontent into coordinated action.

Driver Chop Off Vehicle Inspection Officer’s Ear Over Car Particular

  A yet-to-identified Sienna car driver has reportedly bitten the ear of a Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) identified as Papu Prosper. The incident occurred during a heated argument between the officer and the driver along Eagle Roundabout by Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State.
