The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as Surveyor M.S Ologun, a licensed practitioner in Nigeria, marked his 50th birthday surrounded by family, friends, former students, and colleagues in a grand celebration of life and legacy.
Speaking on his golden jubilee, the celebrant expressed deep appreciation for the gift of life and the presence of loved ones.
“It’s a golden jubilee, and it’s great seeing my family around me. I feel blessed,” Ologun shared, his voice brimming with gratitude.
Reflecting on his journey, Surveyor Ologun described it as a path lined with both challenges and triumphs.
“It’s a long story,” he said. “As a human being, you’ll face challenges, education, job search after school, but to the glory of God, I’m a practitioner today, and I’m okay.”
One of the striking moments at the event was the presence of his former students, many of whom have grown into professionals across different sectors. Their turnout was a testament to the far-reaching impact of Ologun’s mentorship over the years.
“As a lecturer, you meet people from all walks of life. You must care for them,” he noted. “I thank God I was used to develop people, and seeing them flourish makes my life feel fulfilled.”
Elijah Oni, a former student who hails from Efon Alaaye, praised Ologun for his fatherly role.
“Since I was a student, he’s always looked out for us. He made sure we were alright,” Elijah said. “He’s more than family to me. You can see how people are rallying around him. That speaks volumes about who he is.”
