The Nigerian community in Spain has publicly commended the Immigration Attaché I at the Nigerian Embassy in Madrid, CSI Ayotunde Adigun, for his consistent dedication, integrity, and professionalism in the discharge of his duties.
In a statement delivered by Prince Stephen Adeayo Tella, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Spain chapter and President of the Diaspora Concerned Loyalists (DCL), the Nigerian diaspora community expressed profound appreciation for the exemplary service of Mr. Adigun, describing him as a “man of the people” who has brought renewed hope and efficiency to consular immigration services in Spain.
Speaking on behalf of Nigerians in Spain, Prince Tella noted that CSI Adigun has not only made himself accessible to the public but has also prioritized transparency, accountability, and efficiency—values that have positively transformed the consular experience for many Nigerian nationals.
“Mr. Ayotunde Adigun is a dedicated public servant who listens to the people and acts with their best interests at heart,” Prince Tella said. “His open-door approach, honesty, and responsiveness are the reasons he is well respected by the Nigerian community in Spain.”
Notable Achievements Under CSI Ayotunde Adigun’s Watch:
Timely Passport Delivery: The passport processing and delivery time has been significantly reduced, with applicants now receiving their passports within three weeks—a remarkable improvement from past delays.
Pre-Biometric Education and Screening: The embassy, under his coordination, has introduced an effective pre-capturing orientation to educate applicants on proper procedures and documentation, reducing errors and unnecessary delays.
Zero Tolerance for Corruption: Mr. Adigun has maintained a transparent and ethical system by eliminating unauthorized payments and ensuring there is no avenue for fraud or backdoor dealings in passport processing.
Improved Relationship with the Community: His approachable and respectful demeanor has helped foster a cordial relationship between embassy staff and the Nigerian community, creating an atmosphere of trust and cooperation.
“The community is not just satisfied—they are grateful,” added Prince Tella. “It is rare to find public officials who are this committed to service without compromise. Mr. Adigun embodies the values of integrity, discipline, and patriotism.”
The Nigerian diaspora in Spain also extended their appreciation to the Federal Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for appointing a competent and people-oriented officer to represent Nigeria’s immigration interests in Spain.
“We thank the Ministries for assigning someone of Mr. Adigun’s caliber to serve here. His presence at the embassy has made a tangible difference, and we urge that such excellence be sustained and replicated in other missions worldwide,” Prince Tella concluded.
