Ewekoro PDP Leadership and Stakeholders Hold Strategic Meeting Ahead of Elections

 

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership in Ewekoro Local Government has reaffirmed its commitment to unity, dedication, and collective responsibility as it positions itself for electoral success in the coming polls.

At the party’s monthly stakeholders’ meeting held at the Party Secretariat, the Ewekoro PDP Chairman, Comrade Alani Sarafadeen Irenitemi, urged members to close ranks and embrace teamwork as “critical tools for victory in the forthcoming elections.”

Ward chairmen presented updates on membership strength, voter registration, and defections:

Ward 1 (Abalabi): Massive turnout for voter registration; no defections.

Ward 2 (Asayibo): All members intact; a prominent APC member expected to defect soon.

Ward 3 (Arigbajo): Mobility challenges hinder INEC registration; membership intact.

Ward 4 (Itori): One defection (Maradona); registration mobility challenges noted.

Ward 5: Some defections, but efforts underway to recover lost members.

Ward 6 (Papalanto): Mobility and financial challenges slowing mobilization.

Ward 7 (Wasimi): Strong registration mobilization; financial support needed.

In his final address, Comrade Irenitemi reaffirmed the party’s commitment to inclusivity, noting that his office remains open to all aspirants interested in contesting in the 2027 general elections. He also charged ward chairmen to intensify grassroots outreach while stressing that “unity is power” as the party works toward victory in the upcoming Senatorial election.
