OSOGBO — A Senior Special Assistant to Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Hon. Prince Adejumobi Hakeem Abiola, has described the governor’s re-election as a landmark achievement for both Osun State and the Accord Party, expressing confidence that the governor’s second term will surpass the accomplishments of his first administration.
Speaking with journalists at Oba Iyiola Golf Area in Osogbo on Sunday, Adejumobi said the gathering was organized by members of the Accord Party from Oke Osun to celebrate Governor Adeleke’s electoral victory and offer gratitude to God for the outcome of the election.
“We are here to celebrate the victory of the ‘Bulldozer of Osun State,’” Adejumobi said. “The people gathered here are members of the Accord Party from Oke Osun, and this event is organized to appreciate Allah for the success recorded at the polls.”
The governor’s aide, who identified himself as a member of Ward 4 in Osogbo Local Government Area, noted that Governor Adeleke’s emergence as the first executive governor elected on the platform of the Accord Party has elevated the party’s profile nationally.
According to him, the development could encourage the growth of the party across the country and attract more political leaders to its fold.
“Adeleke is the first executive governor of the Accord Party. I believe more governors will join him, demonstrating that the political strength of the party is rooted in Osun State,” he stated.
Adejumobi further expressed optimism about the governor’s second term in office, arguing that the renewed mandate would provide an opportunity to consolidate on achievements already recorded by the administration.
“I assure you that Governor Adeleke will perform even better in his second term than he did in the first. He has already demonstrated his commitment to the people, and with this renewed mandate, we expect greater progress across the state,” he said.
The governor’s aide also emphasized Governor Adeleke’s commitment to national unity and political cooperation, noting that the governor had publicly declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu before and after the election.
He added that the governor’s stance has contributed to a more stable political environment in the state, stressing that governance and development should remain the primary focus moving forward.
The celebration attracted party supporters and residents who gathered to commemorate the governor’s electoral success and reaffirm their support for his administration’s agenda for Osun State.
