The lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, has extended warm felicitations to former Osun State Governor and Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, on the occasion of his 71st birthday.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of his constituents, Hon. Oke, who also chairs the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, described Oyetola as a quintessential leader, bridge-builder, and statesman whose life of service continues to inspire confidence in Nigeria’s democratic process.
“As Gov
ernor, he championed policies of prudence, inclusiveness, and progress which laid enduring foundations for socio-economic growth in Osun State,” Oke noted. “Today, in his national assignment as Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, he continues to demonstrate vision, diligence, and commitment towards repositioning Nigeria’s maritime sector as a veritable engine for growth, trade, and global competitiveness.”
The federal lawmaker lauded Oyetola’s resilience, humility, and leadership style, describing him as a model of patience, fairness, and responsibility. He added that such virtues remain a guiding light for the younger generation of leaders in Osun and beyond.
