Trump Announces Key White House Personnel Shakeup: Dan Scavino to Lead Presidential Personnel Office

In a post on X today, former U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced a significant reshuffle within his administration. Trump revealed that Dan Scavino, his longtime Deputy Chief of Staff, will take on the additional role of heading the White House Presidential Personnel Office.



Scavino will replace Sergio Gor, who has been commended for his service and will now become the U.S. Ambassador to India. In his new position, Scavino will oversee the selection and appointment of nearly all government positions, a major responsibility in shaping the administration’s staffing and policy execution.


“Dan will be responsible for the selection and appointment of almost all positions in government, a very big and important position. Congratulations Dan, you will do a fantastic job!!!” Trump wrote on X.


Scavino, widely recognized for his loyalty to Trump and management of his social media presence, now assumes one of the most influential personnel roles in government. Meanwhile, Gor’s diplomatic posting comes amid ongoing U.S.-India discussions on trade, defense, and technology.


This move signals Trump’s continued emphasis on appointing trusted allies to key positions, reinforcing his influence over federal staffing decisions as he charts his political path forward.
