The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on Thursday hosted his longtime associate and newly elected Governor of Anambra State during a courtesy visit to the State House, Abuja.
The Governor-elect, who described Tinubu as a “dear friend and brother of over 22 years,” said the meeting was warm and reassuring. According to him, President Tinubu welcomed him “with his usual warmth, big smile, and open arms.”
During the engagement, President Tinubu once again congratulated him on the resounding mandate delivered by the people of Anambra in the just-concluded governorship election, a victory the President reportedly described as “a testament to the trust and confidence Ndi Anambra have in our shared vision for a livable and prosperous homeland.”
The Governor-elect expressed deep gratitude for the President’s prompt congratulatory message on election day and for what he called Tinubu’s “continued goodwill and support for Anambra State.”
He emphasized that beyond political lines, the visit reinforced the message of unity and collaboration.
“We are one Nigeria, and together – with God on our side – we will build the Anambra and the Nigeria of our dreams,” he affirmed.
He concluded with optimism for the future, declaring,
“May Anambra continue to win!”
