BREAKING: From Campaign Donor to ‘Kill Me or Pay Me’: Man Reviews APC Investment Balance Sheet

In what appears to be Nigeria’s most dramatic “return on investment” complaint yet, a man on Thursday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja with a message as blunt as it was unsettling: reward me or kill me. The protest, captured in a now-viral video, shows the visibly distressed man holding a placard and demanding recognition for what he described as his personal sacrifices during the party’s 2023 campaign. According to him, loyalty was not just emotional, it was financial, physical, and, ultimately, total. In a country where political support often comes with expectations, some spoken, many implied the man’s outcry reads like a tragic audit of misplaced trust. His claim that he sold his house to fund campaign efforts has not been independently verified, but the symbolism is hard to ignore: a citizen liquidating stability in exchange for promised political dividends. Observers at the scene watched as the protester oscillated between anger and ...

Adewinmbi Launches Cooperative Loan Scheme to Boost Grassroots Economy in Osun West

Brigadier General Biodun Bashir Adewinmbi on Monday inaugurated the Adewinmbi–AMBO Solidarity Cooperative Loan Scheme, an empowerment initiative aimed at supporting women, youths, traders and small business owners across Osun West Senatorial District.

The inauguration, held at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat, Oke Gada, Ede, also served as a platform to mobilise support for Adewinmbi’s Osun West senatorial ambition and the governorship campaign of Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji.

Addressing party faithful, traditional and community leaders, and political stakeholders from Ede North and other parts of Osun West, Adewinmbi described the scheme as a strategic intervention to promote economic inclusion and grassroots development.

He said the cooperative loan programme was designed to provide affordable financing for market women, artisans, traders and enterprising youths, noting that access to capital remains a major challenge for small-scale businesses in the district.

“Today marks a stepping stone toward the upliftment of our women, youths and business owners in Osun West. By empowering our people economically, we are laying a solid foundation for growth, poverty reduction and social stability,” he said.

Adewinmbi announced that the scheme would commence in Ede North with a total of ₦5.5 million disbursed across its 11 wards, amounting to ₦500,000 per ward. He added that the programme would be extended to all local governments in Osun West Senatorial District by January 2026.

The retired military officer also paid tribute to Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, describing him as a visionary leader with a long-standing commitment to grassroots empowerment. According to him, the cooperative initiative was conceived well before Oyebamiji’s governorship aspiration, inspired by his record of service and people-oriented leadership.

“As we approach the 2026 governorship election, leadership must be about service to humanity. Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji has demonstrated commitment to women, youths and community development, and his record speaks for itself,” Adewinmbi stated, urging party members to rally behind the APC governorship candidate.

He encouraged beneficiaries of the scheme to utilise the loans responsibly to expand their businesses, support their families and contribute to local economic development.

The event attracted APC leaders, cooperative members and residents of Ede North, who welcomed the initiative as a timely intervention to strengthen small businesses and improve livelihoods in the area.

Adewinmbi concluded by calling for unity among stakeholders, stressing that collective effort was required not only to win elections but to improve the quality of life for citizens across Osun West and Osun State.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
