BREAKING: From Campaign Donor to ‘Kill Me or Pay Me’: Man Reviews APC Investment Balance Sheet

In what appears to be Nigeria’s most dramatic “return on investment” complaint yet, a man on Thursday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja with a message as blunt as it was unsettling: reward me or kill me. The protest, captured in a now-viral video, shows the visibly distressed man holding a placard and demanding recognition for what he described as his personal sacrifices during the party’s 2023 campaign. According to him, loyalty was not just emotional, it was financial, physical, and, ultimately, total. In a country where political support often comes with expectations, some spoken, many implied the man’s outcry reads like a tragic audit of misplaced trust. His claim that he sold his house to fund campaign efforts has not been independently verified, but the symbolism is hard to ignore: a citizen liquidating stability in exchange for promised political dividends. Observers at the scene watched as the protester oscillated between anger and ...

SOJ: Curator of the Double Edge, Keeper of the Bicephalous Sword, Voice of the Yellow Earth

Before I could begin echoing my voice from the fire, before I balloon away to witness other empires filled with hollow promises, I was privileged to walk closely with the curator of the Double Edge, the man who believed that helping hands are the purest way to give ourselves true visibility.

We worked like a team. The curator of the Double Edge was never a man who beefed others. He believed the sky is wide enough for every bird to fly. I fondly called him Daddy because he acted the role so effortlessly. He was the only one among the fellows who visited my hometown the day he invited me to Babarinsa’s birthday. He loved people deeply. I watched him humble himself while meeting veteran journalist Babafemi Ojudu, and without hesitation he went forward to greet the former Governor of Osun State and Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Adesoji Aregbesola, in Ekiti. That was his nature, simple, bold, and full of respect.

Let me say this truthfully: the publisher of SOJ WORLDWIDE News was great in life, and I pray he can somehow look back to see the stories unfolding after his fall.

I listened to your last voice note, Daddy. The final assignment you gave me. I responded without a second thought because of the respect I had for you. When our team eventually visited, you said, “Orion, pray for me.” And I replied, “As God lives, you will join us tomorrow at the event you are chairing.” You came. And the moment I sighted you, I left my seat and sat beside you. I never knew it would be our last photograph.

Since 2023, when I lost a friend from Akwa Ibom who had just completed her NYSC service, I have often asked myself if those close to me must leave without warning. Each night before I sleep, I pray that God will not hide from me whatever may befall those dear to my heart.

Now, I have lost my pen again, because the curator of the Double Edge has become a story written in the Orion constellation.

An Ode to the Double-Edge Curator

When an apostle of the pen falls, his legacy does not fade;

it echoes in chambers where even silence kneels.

The Bicephalous Edge slices through shadows,

from the southern pole to the northern breath of wind,

carving wisdom into the spine of time.

He shimmered like emerald fire,

steady, unbroken,

a lantern in a writer’s wandering night.

His heart guarded in purity,

washed in the cure of kindness,

held no bruise for any soul;

he moved like a man whose spirit refused to stain.

I doff my hat.

I bend low to the clay of remembrance.

For your footsteps,

still warm upon the Yellow Earth,

teach my own feet where to fall.

Your thoughts remain my compass,

your courage my ink,

your legacy the quiet whisper

that steadies my trembling pen.

Sleep well,

curator of the Double Edge,

your name is now a constellation

that no dusk can swallow.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...

I Will Pay $10M If Nnamdi Kanu Curtail Insecurity, Ezendigbo Challenge FG, S' East Politicians

The Founder of the Better Nigeria For Better People, Chief. CBN Onwuasoanya Ezendigbo, has lambasted the former Governor of Anambra State and the Presidential candidate in the last general elections under the Labour Party, Peter Obi, for facilitating efforts towards Nnamdi Kanu's release from detention. Ezendigbo, in a statement released on Thursday said that, Nnamdi Kanu lack power to stop insecurity in Southeast Nigeria. According to the former Presidential Aspirant, "Let's have a road map for a 2-month cease-fire agreement to demonstrate that to release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) would stop insecurity. He's just a political football fan for politicians, he said." "I am challenging both the federal government and Southeast politicians with $10M (Ten Million Dollars), they should tell Nnamdi Kanu if there will be no sit-at-home, no kidnapping in the region, that will give guarantee that he has control over insecurity in the southea...
