BREAKING: From Campaign Donor to ‘Kill Me or Pay Me’: Man Reviews APC Investment Balance Sheet

In what appears to be Nigeria’s most dramatic “return on investment” complaint yet, a man on Thursday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja with a message as blunt as it was unsettling: reward me or kill me. The protest, captured in a now-viral video, shows the visibly distressed man holding a placard and demanding recognition for what he described as his personal sacrifices during the party’s 2023 campaign. According to him, loyalty was not just emotional, it was financial, physical, and, ultimately, total. In a country where political support often comes with expectations, some spoken, many implied the man’s outcry reads like a tragic audit of misplaced trust. His claim that he sold his house to fund campaign efforts has not been independently verified, but the symbolism is hard to ignore: a citizen liquidating stability in exchange for promised political dividends. Observers at the scene watched as the protester oscillated between anger and ...

Defections Shake Osun Politics as AMBO Welcomes Heavyweights into APC, Vows “People-Centred Government

.....Osun APC runs out of seats as Wole Oke, Fadahunsi and others line up for President Tinubu

A major political realignment unfolded in Osogbo on Friday as Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, formally received prominent lawmakers and thousands of supporters into the All Progressives Congress during a grand rally in Osogbo.

Addressing party faithful and dignitaries at the event organised by the Osun chapter of the APC, Oyebamiji described the defection of Senator Fadahunsi, Senator Ajagunla, Hon. Oluwole Oke, Hon. Taofeek Ajilesoro, Hon. Sanya Ominrin and their supporters as “a courageous and timely decision” capable of reshaping the political future of Osun State.

The APC gubernatorial candidate said the entry of the new members signals the beginning of what he termed a countdown to the emergence of a “truly people-driven government” that would deliver equitable development across the state. He praised the defectors as political heavyweights and grassroots mobilisers whose experience and influence would broaden the party’s base ahead of the 2026 and 2027 elections.

Oyebamiji stressed that the movement into the APC reflects growing confidence in the party’s progressive vision, warning that Osun must avoid economic uncertainty and administrative decline through unity of purpose among stakeholders. According to him, the task before political actors transcends personal ambition and centres on safeguarding the future of younger generations and restoring responsible governance.

He also aligned the party’s state ambitions with the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commending ongoing economic reforms at the federal level which he said were positioning sub-national governments toward fiscal stability and long-term growth. While acknowledging that the reforms may be demanding, Oyebamiji argued they lay a sustainable foundation for prosperity and strategic planning.

Calling for cohesion within party ranks, the APC flag bearer declared unity “non-negotiable,” urging leaders, youths, women and grassroots supporters to work collectively toward returning Osun to a path of accountability, growth and inclusive development. He assured the new entrants that the party would operate as one family where every voice and contribution would be valued.

Closing his remarks, Oyebamiji expressed appreciation for the sacrifices and courage of the defectors, reiterating confidence that collective effort and mutual respect would secure victory for the progressives and reposition Osun as a beacon of good governance.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
